It’s time to welcome the NEW YEAR – 2012 – and congratulate our new and re-elected Democratic Officials throughout Cayuga County. We wish them all the best as they prepare to serve during a very challenging time for all levels of government.
The 2011 election results were bitter – sweet. Sweet - for first time candidates Mark Farrell and Joe Bennett who easily took County Legislative seats from Republican opponents, and especially delicious for Democratic Mayoral Candidate – Mike Quill winning re- election to a second term as Auburn Mayor and sending his opponent back to the County Office Building.
Thursday, December 22, 2011 unfortunately marked the last Auburn City Council meeting for Democratic City Councilors Gilda Brower and Tom McNabb. Losing by under 60 votes, a very close race for Tom McNabb, who has held the council seat for an incredible 16 years. Thank you Tom!
