About Us
Welcome to the website of the Cayuga County Democratic Committee. It is our hope that this site will be a useful tool for any Cayuga County residents who wish to become more informed
(or perhaps more involved!) in the process of electing the people that represent us in governing our community. We will attempt to provide information about the process, candidates
and issues. We will provide links to other web sites, which may be of interest. This site will provide information and tools that will help you to become more active and informed
in the political process – how to register, how to contact a public official or candidate, how to volunteer to help the Democratic Party or its candidates, and of course, how to
donate much needed funds to your local Democratic Committee!
This website is a “work in progress.” We hope it will become an active site where interested people (Democrats and others) can get information, make suggestions and become more involved. We will start off with providing information about the Party and the people who are active in it locally. We provide information on running for office, the steps on how to become a candidate, becoming a member of the Democratic Committee and other little tidbits that the general public often finds overwhelming.
The conventional wisdom is that “all politics is local.” The best way to make a difference in what happens locally is to be involved and informed. The Cayuga County Democrats hope this site will educate and offer opportunities for more people to become involved.
